Started in Saratoga\, NY Leap of Kindness is a growing movement held every 4 years on our ?extra day?\, February 29th ?LEAP YEAR! \n\nThe Cortland Chamber is encouraging businesses and their employees to take part in this movement!\n\nWhether you are donating food\, helping our community youth\, offering a free service to those in need\, or sharing your time\, no act is too small when you take a Leap of Kindness! We hope to inspire everyone in our community to do something kind for someone else!\n\n\n\nThe Chamber will be participating in a blood drive with The YWCA.\n\n\n\nCortland County Historical Society will be holding a food and supply drive for CNY SNAP to help them take care of the cats that are looking for permanent homes in our community.\n\n\n\n***Have pictures of your act of Kindness Email them! we would love to see them and use them in future promotions! info@CortlandAreaChamber.com\n\n\n\n \nHere are some ideas of ways to participate in Leap of Kindness Day 2024.\n\n\n	\n	Organize a drive for essential items and personally deliver the collected goods to a local charity on February 29. \n	\n	\n	Express gratitude to first responders by delivering meals or snacks to your local fire\, police\, or EMS station on Leap of Kindness Day.\n	\n	\n	Dedicate February 29th to enhancing a public space. a park\, trail\, or playground? by cleaning\, beautifying\, or fixing amenities in need.\n	\n	\n	Encourage your children to write and deliver heartfelt thank-you notes to educators\, custodians\, bus drivers\, and others on February 29th.\n	\n	\n	Reach out to local care facilities\, hospitals\, senior or youth centers\, and agencies assisting those with unique needs. Collect and deliver items tailored to their specific requirements on Leap of Kindness Day.\n\n	\n\n	More information about Leap of Kindness Day\, including additional ideas on how to participate\, is available at leapofkindnessday.org.
