Cortland, N.Y. – The third and final phase of parking lot reconstruction at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center will begin on Monday, April 1. For approximately four weeks, there will be no through traffic from the Alvena Ave. lot to the West Main Street lot.
This will allow crews to add several additional handicap accessible parking spaces, closer to the facility. Both lots will still be accessible during this phase, but patients and visitors will not be able to drive or walk from one to the other.
Those who require entry to either the main entrance of the hospital or the nursing home should enter the parking lot from Homer Avenue.
Those needing the Emergency Department or Renzi Cancer Center should only enter the parking lot from West Main Street.
Once this work is complete, the connector will reopen, and work will begin on the circle at the main entrance of the hospital. Further information will be communicated prior to the start of that work.
We apologize for any inconvenience during this process, but we are confident these final pieces will provide greater access and convenience for our patients and visitors.
