Chamber of Commerce Receives National Recognition
Cortland – The Cortland County Chamber of Commerce received national recognition from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for their member retention in 2017. The award recognizes chambers doing an outstanding job in programming and services equating to members renewing their commitment. Chamber President Bob Haight on the award, “Our Board of Directors along with our staff continue to listen to our members to provide the services they need to grow business locally. In 2017 we adopted a strategic plan to take us to 2020 and we live by that plan. The goal is to make our business community stronger and one of the main objectives is the make the connections, business to business, that fosters economic prosperity. Our plan also includes a rewrite of our Vision and Mission. We’re proud to represent 484 businesses and organizations in our region. While most of our members are in Cortland County we now have members in six upstate counties.”
