  • The Cortland County Chamber offers its members a multitude of opportunities to market their companies’ products and services - to other Chamber members, to the business community at large, and to local community leaders and residents.

    • Membership Directory - Each year the Chamber prints a membership directory used by professionals throughout CNY and by individuals looking for information on local businesses.  As a member you are automatically included in this directory, once alphabetically by your name and once under your specific business category.  It’s a great way to be known.  In addition, members who chose may purchase ad space in the Directory to make themselves stand out even more.
    • Downtown Banners - Sponsorship of a downtown banner shows your company's pride in the Cortland community and also serves as a reminder to potential customers and clients that you believe in and support Cortland County. What a great marketing tool! The banners go up once every 16-18 months, with the theme changing each round. The Chamber handles all the details, and you may keep your sponsored banner when the new ones are hung. The themes have been varied, including focus on Cortland's past, its four seasons, local residents in the military, and local festivals.
    • Web Site Banners – The Chamber’s new web site has the opportunity to showcase your business with a banner advertisement.  Residents and visitors go the site to discover information about the Cortland area as well as Chamber events.  You will be noticed here.
    • Chamber Mailings – Each month the Chamber sends one to two mailings to approximately 500 places of businesses locally to provide information on Chamber events.  As a member you make take advantage of these mailings by placing a flyer advertising your products or services.  The cost is less than postage and the mailings are sent to our contact at each member site.
    • Enhanced Member Pages – coming in 2017 – our new web site has the feature of an enhanced page for you that can also double as your own web page with; hours of operation, your products listed, photos of your business, testimonials, etc.  The page can be listed in your other advertising as your own personal page and you control the content!
    • Host an Event – The Chamber Business After Hours and Connecting Community Events have become very popular for one simple reason, they work!  Want to know about hosting one of these events to showcase yourself to our membership?  Call our office for details but give yourself plenty of time, they are usually booked over a year in advance!
    • The Business Showcase – Would you like the ability to market your business to 500 + business leaders and 2,000 + members of the community?  This is the way to do it at minimal cost.  The Showcase is held each year in the spring and kicks off with the Preview Party the evening before being open to the general public.  It’s a “can’t miss” event.
    • Sponsorship Opportunities – Our events are varied in their audience from a mostly business crowd to our entire local population.  Our sponsor recognition includes; radio time, mailings, web site credit, direct email, television, banner placement, announcements, and chances for live interviews.  Our goal is to have each sponsor receive their money’s worth and more so they’ll want to sponsor again.  Most of our sponsors have been with the same events year after year and often become associated with that particular event but at the same time we continue to add sponsors each year.  Want to make it more fun?, ask about naming rights for your sponsorship.  We’ll get you noticed!
