“Homer, New York: New York City’s Milk Supplier,” Saturday, May 16, 1:00 pm at the Central New York Living History Center, 4386 US Route 11, Cortland, NY.
Presented by Joshua K. Blay, historian and archivist. Learn about Homer’s provision of milk for New York City and the role of railroads in the dairy industry from the late 1800s to the 1980s.
Refreshments after the presentation
Tour the CNY Living History Center’s Agriculture Exhibit, which features the history of local dairy production.
Joshua K. Blay was born in Cortland and graduated from Homer High School. He has worked in museums & archives for more than 20 years and is an archivist for the City of Philadelphia.
